CBYCC Crew Leader in Potlatch, Idaho
Position Summary: The Clearwater Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) Council, Inc. is seeking an experienced crew leader for the Clearwater Basin Youth Conservation Corps (CBYCC). The CBYCC is a partnership effort that the RC&D sponsors on behalf of the Clearwater Basin Collaborative, the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests, and numerous other local, state, and federal organizations and agencies.
CBYCC Mission Statement: The youth program exposes youth to natural resource career opportunities and develops practical problem-solving skills while working alongside natural resource specialists on projects that restore aquatic and terrestrial habitat and promote healthy rural communities. A paid youth program offers local youth an opportunity to experience the forest in a work-place setting while also providing a fun learning environment and exposure to traditional skills. Project Location: We currently have one crew leader position available in Potlatch, Idaho.
Compensation and Work Schedule: This position is at least 40 hours per week from June 4–August 4, 2018 (9 consecutive weeks) with additional paid training and some pre-season organizational work from May–June, depending on availability. The pay rate for this position is $16–$20 per hour, depending on experience.
